Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury will meet again in the ring in December of this year

The first fight between these heavyweights took place on May 18, 2024, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. At stake were the WBA Super, IBF, WBO, IBO and The Ring world titles, defended by Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, as well as the WBC title, owned by Briton Tyson Fury. In this tense twelve-round fight, the "Gypsy King" suffered a defeat, yielding to the Ukrainian champion. After that, Usyk gave up one of the belts, giving Joshua and Dubois an opportunity to prove themselves.

The first fight ended with Usyk winning by split decision. Tyson Fury, known for his eccentric antics, such as appearing in a Batman costume at a press conference with Klitschko, and aggressive behavior on social media, has already said that he will win the rematch. However, many experts believe that Usyk, despite the difficulties his country faces, is capable of once again defeating his brash opponent. Usyk is known for his discipline and diligent preparation, while Fury often faces personal problems, including addictions and psychological crises. In the summer, he was even seen drunk when his friends helped him leave a bar.

Despite their personal problems, both fighters have avoided open hostility on social media. Perhaps they are focused on preparing for the fight, or the rematch is not as important to them as their fans seem to think. In December, it will be clear whether Fury can take revenge for his past defeat.
