Description
The Belgrade Arena, formerly known as the Stark Arena, is one of the largest multifunctional sports venues in Europe, located in the heart of Serbia – Belgrade. Since its opening in 2004, it has been designed according to international standards and is intended to host a wide range of events. The arena can accommodate up to 25,000 spectators, of which 18,386 can be comfortably seated, and also includes 70 luxurious VIP boxes.
The arena complex consists of six levels and includes both a large and a small hall, as well as convenient parking areas. The large hall is impressive in size – its area is 95.5 by 56.5 meters and a height of 36 meters, which allows it to host events of any level of complexity. The arena surface can be adapted for various sports disciplines: from basketball to athletics.
In recent years, the arena has undergone significant renovations. In preparation for the Euroleague Final Four in the 2017–18 season, a state-of-the-art media cube and sound system were installed. Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced plans for further renovations to the complex to bring it up to the latest standards.
