Max Holloway is an American mixed martial artist currently competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in the featherweight division. He is a former UFC Featherweight Champion and former BMF (Battle Featherweight Champion) in the UFC. He is currently ranked #2 in the official UFC featherweight rankings and #9 in the lightweight division. He is also ranked #10 in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings.

On December 10, 2016, Holloway knocked out Anthony Pettis at UFC 206 to win the interim UFC Featherweight Championship. On June 3, 2017, at UFC 212 in Brazil, Max Holloway knocked out UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo in the third round to win the title. On December 3 of the same year, at the UFC 218 tournament in Detroit (USA), Holloway had a rematch with Jose Aldo and knocked him out again in the third round, defending the championship belt.

On December 9, 2018, at the UFC 231 tournament in Toronto (Canada), Holloway met undefeated challenger Brian Ortega. Max dominated throughout the fight, and the fight was stopped by the doctor after the fourth round, which allowed Holloway to defend the title again. On April 13, 2019, the Holloway-Poirier fight for the interim UFC lightweight championship title took place, which ended with Poirier winning by unanimous decision. 

On July 27, 2019, Holloway defended the UFC featherweight championship title against Frankie Edgar. On December 15 of the same year, he lost the title in a fight with Alexander Volkanovski. On July 11, 2020, a rematch took place, in which Max lost by split decision.
